Great location, very friendly staff, reasonable price. Bad: The rooms are tired. Clean, but tired! The entrance to the carpark was very narrow which could have been an issue. Charges for parking and bringing a dog would be better if included. Nobody could advise us about the Cologne low emission zone.

Location of this hotel is good, just around the corner of the train station. Useful to get on the train and travel to Koln Messe. Breakfast was very good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Bad: Rooms are clean but need updating/refurbishing. Bar in the hotel never appeared to be open. The only option of a drink was for reception staff to take a drink out of the fridge in the lobby.

Customer service from the front desk was amazing! Location was close to the Dom, the river and downtown restaurants and bars. Bad: It’s right beside the train station, and the sometimes sketchy people who turn up there. This is budget friendly hotel so don’t expect a massive room. Having said that, the staff were amazing. We would definitely stay here again.

Very close to train station. Don't get it mixed up with the Wyndham Hotel which is more visible from the main exit of the train station. Friendly welcome, good elevator access to rooms. Fixtures and finishes were 'traditional' in feel rather than modern. Good wardrobe space, excellent workspace. Comfortable bed. Complimentary water. No iron or ironing board in the room but they are available on request. Work space was large. No refrigerator in the room, but again, no drama. WiFi was excellent. Shower was hot and powerful and there was a bath should that be a preference. Room was ideal for my requirements. There are lots of shops and concessions at the train station should you need anything in terms of food, drinks or snacks. this is a 2-minute walk from the station. Train to Dusseldorf is 25 minutes and you can access everywhere else easily on the excellent transport network. Bad: Bathroom porcelain sink, toilet, bath and mirror were all perfect. The wall tiles in the bathroom could have been cleaner in my opinion.

The third time I’ve stayed here. Great location 2 minutes from the HBF, 15 minutes from the Brauhaus’s of the Altstadt. Rooms are clean and you get two complimentary bottles of water each day plus a small pack of sweets! Bad: Maybe the water pressure in the Shower could be a little better, but this is a very minor issue.

It was clean and comfortable. I would like to come back to find the same experience. The man at the counter was very nice. Bad: A minor drawback that wouldn’t change much would be that I wouldn’t prefer curtain on the bathtub.

Hotel just a couple of minutes walk from Cologne Hauptbahnhof and easy walking distance from the Markets. Well appointed, clean, room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. friendly and helpful at Reception. Didn't book breakfast, but restaurant area looked welcoming. Will definitely stay there again.

It was close to the central station. We decide to save a few $$ but not staying directly in or opposite the station but this was still quite close! We didn’t get enough time to enjoy the property largely because we were only staying one night and our morning the next day was cut short in order for us to catch a bus. We had originally booked to leave at a train later in the day but because of the train strikes we had to leave much earlier to get a bus to our next location! Would love to come back!

This was a nice hotel. A few minor hickups, like Alfredo coffee but showing it off as Nespresso. Another thing was the promised parking space. I had no room and had to search for a parking space to park my van. This costed me another 40 euro which I thought you would look for as a kind of service. Offcourse, a van is not a usual travel car for most, but we few , we happy few, need a van for work and thus were having bigger expense then I expected

The location was great. Only a 5 minute walk from the train station and under 10 to the Christmas markets. The staff were the best part. They were extremely nice and helpful at check in. I ended up forgetting a bag of gifts in my room and they sent my gifts back in me the mail. Amazing customer service! Bad: The room was a little outdated. It could use an update.

Perfectly nice city centre hotel. Very welcoming reception team, good variety on breakfast buffet - but get there early. Bed linen crisp and white and very clean. Approximately on par with a Premier Inn, but better in several aspects. Great location opposite the station a few minutes walk to the Dom.

This hotel is clean, tidy and the staff are kind and well mannered. It is undergoing a update which it is probably overdue, we stayed in one of the older rooms and whilst old fashioned and basic it had everything we needed, towels, water, tea and coffee making facilities, a decent shower, comfy bed and a safe. The location is fantastic for access to the city centre, train station and Christmas markets (which is why we’d been). The only two things we’d mention are we’d requested a twin and got a double (this could be been down to the holiday company not making the note on the booking) and the other was that we wished the bar had been open during the week (it opens at the weekends) to have a drink in the evening, I think they’re missing out on a quite a lot of extra income particularly at this time of year with people in and out of the markets, but in fairness it could be down to costs etc. Look if you’re looking for 5 star luxury this is not the hotel for you, pay more and you’ll find it elsewhere but if you’re looking for a city centre base and a clean comfy bed to sleep in and friendly staff for a really decent price then give this one a go.

This hotel had several pluses with the main one being its primo location. It is perfectly situated to be able to visit many of "must see" areas of interest in the city, by walking and it is directly across from the major train station (you don't hear any train noise), which has lots and lots of options for cheap meals on the go. The hotel itself was relatively clean, had very conscientious, hard working housekeeping staff and several (but not all) of the front desk staff. There was always sweet goodies to snack on, as well as a daily stock of fresh apples at the front desk. The hotel has a lot of cosmetic work that needs to be addressed. They have repaired tiling in the bathroom very amateurishly (and very noticeable), and there is a fair amount of water damage around the window areas. My most major complaint was that my room was FREEZING cold from the time I checked in to the time I checked out. I brought this to the attention of front desk staff and they sent a maintenance worker very promptly. He removed a ceiling tile and noticed no problems and that was the end of that. You could feel a very small amount of heat coming out of the vent, but for the majority of the time I spent in my room, I wore my jacket and/or scarf, used both comforters when I slept and turned on the heat lamp in the bathroom whenever I was in there. For the most part, I was very pleased with my stay. There was no signs of any "critters" hiding in the mattress seams or anywhere else, for which I was very grateful. Breakfast had a wide assortment of food for any taste, and the coffee bar was excellent. And again, you couldn't beat the location.
